ORLANDO GHOST TOURS AND SOUTHERN GHOSTS ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE...

A Weekend In Vicksburg, Mississippi, May 30-June 1

Over the past 7 years, Orlando Ghost Tours and Southern Ghosts have been proud to provide you, our guests, with amazing experiences in the world of paranormal investigation. In our continuing efforts to find new and exciting locations to investigate, our research has led us to the beautiful, historic, and haunted city of Vicksburg, Mississippi!

Vicksburg, during the civil war, was the site of the siege of Vicksburg, a significant event during the war in which the Union army was able to wrestle control of the entire Mississippi River basin. The Union utilized the 47-day siege as a means of starving the city into submission due to the fact that the city’s location atop a high bluff overlooking the river proved to be impregnable to assault from federal troops. The North successfully captured Vicksburg on July 4th, 1863 and, coupled with the defeat of General Robert E. Lee at Gettysburg the previous day, marked the turning point in the American Civil War, leading to the Union’s defeat of the Confederacy.

Incorporated in 1825, this important historical city is filled with great beauty and fascinating stories of ghosts and haunts. During our investigative weekend in Vicksburg, we will be investigating several buildings, including the famous McRaven House, the city’s old courthouse, and the primary military battlefield of the siege of Vicksburg. You will have the opportunity to use some of our investigative equipment and interact with our experienced team of investigators and mediums as we delve into the mysteries surrounding some of Vicksburg’s most storied, paranormally active locations.

While visiting the battlefield, we will also be able to walk through the Cairo Museum, a museum built in to an actual Confederate battleship, the Cairo, sunk during the siege and brought up from the depths of the Mississippi River.

The price for this incredible weekend is $575 for single or double occupancy, with an additional cost of $125 per additional person with a limit of 4 people per room. That’s just $285.50 per person for a party of 2, $233.33 per person for a party of 3, and $206.25 per person for a party of 4 in one room! We will be staying at the beautiful, brand new Wingate Hotel, opening this coming May 1st!
